Would you like to be a part of our family and integral part of our worship? We have a wonderful history of over 65 years of worship and service in our communities. Our current Director of Music Ministry will soon retire after 24 years of service. We seek a passionate, relationship-oriented individual with a heart for ministry to head our strong and beautiful music program, vital to our worship experience. Coming from a strong musical background, you will be expected to coordinate and implement our music ministry, including but not limited to selection of hymns and anthems, providing of organ/piano music, accompaniment of choirs and overall arrangement of appropriate music for worship. You will also develop and implement short- and long-range plans and programs, and help grow music ministry overall. This full-time position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent, with graduate experience a plus. Organ expertise and keyboard ability sufficient to play hymns, liturgy and easy anthem accompaniments at sight are required, as is knowledge of Lutheran theology, liturgical practice and the use of music in worship.
